By attaining knowledge of the entire sacred Jinvani scriptures and have acquired highest level of wisdom, such Lords of the heavens (Devendra) hymned and worshipped Lord Adinatha in magnificent encomiums (eulogy: a speech or piece of writing that praises someone or something highly) that rejoiced the mind of the audience of three realms (heaven, earth and hell). I (Manatunga Acharya, a humble man with little wisdom) shall be extremely determined (steadfast) in my endeavour to eulogize Lord Adinatha, the first Jain Tirthankara (the biggest conqueror).
- Urdhava Lok (ऊर्ध्वलोक) – the realms (क्षेत्र) of the gods or heaven.
- Madya Loka (मध्यलोक) – the realms of the humans, animals and plants of earth
- Adho Loka (अधोलोक) – the realms of the hellish beings or the infernal (नारकीय)
I shall indeed pay homage to that first Jinendra, who with beautiful orations captivating the minds of the entire three worlds, has been worshipped by the lords of the gods endowed with profound wisdom born of all the Shastras.
This is indeed strange that I am bent on eulogizing the first Jinendra who was praised and worshipped by the rich and stotras, magnetizing the hearts (of the persons) of the three fold world, (composed) by the lords of gods who are proficient in talent developed by the knowledge of the true and essential principles of the Supreme Dwadashangi (द्वादशांग जिनवाणी).
